Stealth Bombers have been regular participants at the Edwards Air Force Base Open House and other airshows since 1992. They are sometimes seen in the pattern at Air Force Plant 42 and other remote locations in the Mojave Desert.
Northrop-Grumman B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-2, 82-1067 was displayed to the public at the Edwards Air Force Base Open House on October 18, 1992. It was placed near the back of a hangar to restrict the view of its back end. It first flew on October 19, 1990. It was instrumented for loads testing. Its construction number is 1002. It was upgraded to Block 30 configuration in 1997.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-4, 82-1069 was displayed at the Edwards Air Force Base Open House on October 23, 1993. It first flew on April 17, 1992. It conducted avionics and weapons testing. It was the first B-2A to drop a bomb, a 2000-pound Mk84 on September 12, 1992. Its construction number is 1004. It was upgraded to Block 30 configuration in 2000.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-2, 82-1067 participated in the flying demonstrations.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-6, 82-1071 was displayed at the Edwards Air Force Base Open House on October 22, 1994. It first flew on February 2, 1993. It conducted avionics and weapons testing and tech order validation. Its construction number is 1006. It was later upgraded to Block 30 configuration.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-4, 82-1069 participated in the flying demonstrations.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-3, 82-1068 was displayed at the Edwards Air Force Base Open House on October 21, 1995. It first flew on June 18, 1991. It conducted radar and navigation tests. Its construction number is 1003. It was upgraded to Block 30 configuration in 1999.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-5, 82-1070 participated in the flying demonstrations. It first flew on October 5, 1992. It conducted avionics and weapons testing. Its construction number is 1005. It was upgraded to Block 30 configuration in 1999.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-5, 82-1070 was displayed at the Edwards Air Force Base Open House on October 29, 1996.
Spirit AV-5, 82-1070 wore artwork with the name Fire & Ice on its nose gear door.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-4, 82-1069 participated in the flying demonstrations. It took off on a test mission at 9:00 in the morning. High winds prevented many of the flying acts from performing. The B-2A returned from its test mission and made two sets of flyby passes. It moved closer to the crowd for the second set of passes.
B-2A Block 20 Spirit AV-13, 89-0128 Spirit of Nebraska was displayed at the Nellis Air Force Base Golden Air Tattoo on April 25 and 26, 1997. Its construction number is 1013. It was delivered to the Air Force as a B-2A Block 10 on June 26, 1995 and is assigned to the 509th Operations Group based at Whiteman Air Force Base. It was upgraded to Block 20 configuration in 1996 and to Block 30 configuration in 1999.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-14, 89-0129 Spirit of Georgia of the 393rd Bomb Squadron of the 509th Bomb Wing based at Whiteman Air Force Base participated in the flying displays on Saturday, April 25. Its construction number is 1014. It was delivered to the Air Force on September 25, 1995. It was upgraded to Block 20 configuration in 1997 and to Block 30 configuration in 1999.
B-2A Block 20 Spirit AV-18, 93-1085 Spirit of Oklahoma of the 393rd Bomb Squadron participated in the flying displays on Sunday, April 26. Its construction number is 1018. It was delivered to the Air Force on May 13, 1996. It was upgraded to Block 30 configuration in 2000.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-3, 82-1068 Spirit of New York of the 412th Test Wing was displayed at the Edwards Air Force Base Open House on October 18 and 19, 1997.
B-2A Block 10 Spirit AV-5, 82-1070 Spirit of Ohio of the 412th Test Wing participated in the flying demonstrations on Saturday October 18.
